Northrop Grumman has an immediate employment opportunity available for a Consulting Engineer Systems, SEIT Lead.

What Youll Get To Do:

The Consulting Engineer Systems, SEIT Lead is responsible for directing the execution of the overall Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) effort on the program, with a particular focus on developmental efforts relating to Radio Frequency (RF) sensor developmental/implementation programs. The Consulting Engineer Systems, SEIT Lead is also responsible for horizontal and vertical integration across all engineering elements of the program and ensures the integrity of systems engineering processes. The SEIT Lead typically has Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibility, which comprises cost and schedule management for the SEIT work scope, and interfaces with the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, System Architect, other engineering team leads, and the customer. 

 

This work is 100 on-site from the NGC facility in Baltimore, MD  

 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the cost account manager for the systems engineering responsibilities 

  • Plan and execute the systems engineering core functions and ensure the SEIT team has qualified staff to execute the systems engineering core functions 

  • Plan, execute, and close out system reviews (e.g., SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, Pre-test reviews, Post Test Reviews, Pre-Ship reviews, etc.) 

  • Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements 

  • Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program verification and validation efforts 

  • Oversee system configuration management of the System Technical Baseline 

  • Interface with the customer for the System Technical Baseline Management 

  • Coordinate across -ilities 

  • Collect, manage and report the systems engineering metrics and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) 

  • Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core systems engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule 

  • Oversee the establishment and execution of the systems engineering lifecycle and work products 

  • Support the transition of the system to the operations, maintenance, and sustainment stakeholders 

  • Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), program manager, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline 

 

Basic Qualifications:    

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 16 years of related experience, a Masters degree in STEM with a minimum of 14 years of related experience or a PhD in STEM with a minimum of 12 years of related experience.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required and an active DoD Secret clearance required and SAP eligibility. Must be able to maintain this level of clearance for continued employment.

  • 5+ years experience leading technical teams  

  • 8+ years of experience in systems development, integration, and/or test for sensor systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Cross-V experience 

  • Good communication skills and relationships with internal stakeholders and customers 

  • 5+ years of experience in developmental airborne sensor systems.

  • Familiarity with MBSE and/or DOORS 

  • Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements 

  • Knowledge of earned value management  

 

This position is contingent upon the candidate being approved for access to a Special Access Program (SAP) 

 

 

Salary Range: $197,500.00 - $293,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
