This position works in Reginal Finance Office (RFO) Beijing. The core responsibilities are to manage the region-wise accounting functions of General Ledgers and Payments for Emirates in the relevant country by processing the accounting transactions and payments in a timely and accurate manner as well as in compliance with company procedures and local regulations.

- Manage all journal vouchers in General Ledger functions under all station books in the region, including but not limited to Payroll, Prepaid Expense, Accrual, Adjustments etc, in a timely and accurate manner on monthly basis, and ensure the process are aligned to the company procedures.
- Perform the reconciliation for station-controlled B/S nominals under all station books in the region in a timely and accurate manner on monthly basis, follow up with station Finance & Admin Managers (FAMs) for the reasons of unreconciled items and agree with them the action plans.
- Review and comments for all stations’ GL Schedules on monthly basis after each month-end closing; Support Regional Accounting Manager (RAM) for the secondary review for B/S key nominals on quarterly basis.
- Prepare Trail Balance Report for all stations in the region and support Regional Accounting Manager (RAM) for the review for Trail Balance Reports in a detailed and efficient manner during the month-end closing, including but not limited to, the review for rationality of monthly accrual, cost fluctuations under key nominals, preparation for cost analysis etc.
- At each hard close, support RAM to collect the additional finance documents from station FAMs and ensure the completeness of reporting documents in place as per hard close requirements; At each year-end close, collaborate with station FAMs/FOs to prepare year-end accruals and perform close follow-up on the clearance schedules in the following year.
- Handle all payments (Host-to-Host & Wire Transfer) for Greater China (China Mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan), including but not limited to payments for Suppliers, Employees, Refunds, Cargo claim, CASA and ad hoc Pre-payments; Coordinate with AP Function for the payment schedules and ensure the on-time payment KPIs achieved. Prepare individual and bulk payment transfers in line with corporate guidelines and authority limits.
- Being the key contact person in RFO Beijing for stations’ HO payments that are paid in local bank accounts; Coordinate with Group Accounting Payable Service (GAPS) in GFS for local funds and prepare weekly cash-out flow forecast for Greater China.
- Manage regular repatriation for China Mainland as per the monthly cash flow schedules, including but not limited to foreign exchange deal, online tax clearance, bank remittance form and supporting documents etc, and ensure repatriations are processed in a timely manner and follows the company finance procedures and authorization limits .
- Provide statistical analysis reports that are required by Finance & Admin Managers and Regional Accounting Manager.
- Assist in any other finance ad-hoc duties as and when necessary.
Qualification Qualifications:
- A level education
- Basic accounting background
Experience:
- 4 years’ experience in a multinational company, preferably in an accounting shared service centre
- Hands-on experiences in payments, foreign exchange deals and General Ledgers
- Experiences to independently handle WOFE all functions (AR, AP, GL) is preferred.
Knowledge/skills:
- Knowledge and experiences for accounting and settlements in airline industry are preferred
- Knowledge and experience of Oracle Finance
- Accounting knowledge for IFRS & China Accounting Standards
- Proficiency in MS Office, in particular advanced skills in Excel
- Stay positive and self-motivated to handle heavy workload under tight timelines, open-minded for changes
- Ability to use Mandarin and English as working languages
