We are seeking a dedicated Field Safety Clerk to join our team.
This is a Field position with responsibility for monitoring driver SOP and working with the department to ensure compliance; in addition to maintaining and monitoring employee safety within our buildings.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in a Ramp or Safety role.
• Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers• Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files• Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications• Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID’s for trucks are current• Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures• Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned
• High School Diploma or equivalent• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire• 2-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications• Ability to work with minimum supervision• Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills• Detail oriented• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible• Open availability, ability to work nights and weekends as operations require
